Better Late Than Never

Christmas Card

I received my first Christmas Card and gift today in the mail. Thank you, Missy! All over the Land of Blog people are showing off Christmas decor, trees, crafts and swapping cookie recipes. I thought I would share what I’ve done so far in preparation for the holiday (insert cricket sounds).

Amarylus

I purchased two amaryllis bulbs. I have yet to plant them. That’s right, I put the “pro” in procrastinator. Besides, it was a cold day in New Jersey. Some snow flakes fell before turning to freezing rain. The jewel toned leaves have turned to paper bag brown and there are more on the ground than remain on the trees. Today was a day to wrap myself up in a warm blanket, sink into a comfortable chair, lose myself in words and use that book mark Missy made me.

Clean Day

Unfortunately, it was also a day of downtime for our Internet provider, which explains the delay in announcing the Mrs. Meyer’s Citrus and Clove collection and candle. Without further adieu, they are:

    Deborah,

I’m glad to know I’m not the only one! I am happy to say that I WILL have my Christmas cards out on time this year . . . last year they were New Year’s Cards.

Today was a great day to wrap up in a blanket and enjoy the written word. I’m jealous! I was schlepping around in the cold trying to make some sales :-) I say that jokingly, of course, because I am blessed to have my job :-)

Hope you’re well! Congrats to the lucky winner!

    Your friend,
    Stephenie

SERIOUSLY? Deborah! THANK you!!!!! I feel like I won the jackpot! I entered to win $100 to be donated to my favorite charity yesterday…and won that too!! I’m afraid lightening is going to strike…LOL.

{I usually clean with vinegar and water; my nose will thank you as well.} :-)

I’ve been procrastinating on Christmas as well; I’ve been so busy with work that decor is the last thing on my list; although I’m afraid I’m going to have to bust out the tree this weekend. I’m ready for some twinkle lights!

    Hi Deborah!
I just purchased this product after seeing it in your blog. I’m anxious to try it!
Hope you received the burlap cone by now and it’s exactly what you wanted.
It’s been snowing here in my neck of the woods. How about yours?
    Stay warm!

    Good Morning Deborah,

I thought that with Thanksgiving coming earlier this year, that I would have plenty of time to get our cards out by Dec.1st. (which is the date I always shoot for). However, I never sent them to the printer, so it looks like I’m running behind. I guess that I concentrated too much of getting our Christmas decorations up for when our children/grandchildren come for Thanksgiving and didn’t think about the cards. Wishing you and yours a great Christmas season.

Hey no worries! At least that is what I keep telling myself. :)
I am fresh back from a holiday in Santa Fe. The house is a wreck. Tons of appointments.
We have Mr. Decor’s birthday and the Fashionista’s college graduation to celebrate before Christmas arrives. Thankfully I always leave my Christmas decor up through January 6th.

    It’s all good.

Deborah Congrats to the winners! It is cold and grey here in KC although no snow yet!

I have ordered one granddaughters present and that is it so far. It is going to be a less gift giving and more thoughts and prayers this season!

    xoxo

    Hey girlfriend!
I’m so glad you liked your bookmark! I made a couple to give away to some special people and guess what…You’re very special to me! :-) I hope you enjoyed your day snuggled up and reading…I need one of those days! lol I have been busier than a fox in a hen house lately. My shopping is now complete, my cards have all been sent out, my deocrations are up and my gifts are wrapped. I had to get it all done early this year because we’re hosting a party here on the 15th and I knew I’d be ultra stressed if it wasn’t all done. Hopefull I can relax a little after I get the house cleaned. :)
Love you lady, and hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

    Congratulations to the winners!

LOVE the quote. Still have my autumn decorations up.

Oh – and I’ve found out that learning to crochet after not crocheting for 37 years is nothing like riding a bike. Well, unless you spent most of your bike riding time tangled up in a heap.

Stay warm and happy, my friend!
    Hugs,
    Zuzu
